Its magnetic field is strong enough to attract both matter and energy, which also means that [[Portals|Portal]] travel gets interjected by it. ![[Portal_Diagramm.png]] Its magnetic field is also strong enough that [[Apex Energy]] managed to turn it into a Power Plant to supply most of the Crossroads with Electricity, and in turn holding a great deal of power over the city. The power plant messes with portal construction which is why Apex and the [[Navigators|Navigator's Academy]] don't get along well, since opening and closing portals messes with the core and its power output whereas the power plant messes with portal calculation.
